Genova - Pasticceria Liquoreria Marescotti di Cavo

During our October 2016 trip to Turin we made a day trip to Genova, mainly so I could take Dad to the Osteria di Vico Palla, which I knew he'd love as I had when I'd first visited Genova in June 2014.

While we were there we popped into Pasticceria Liquoreria Marescotti di Cavo, which I had spotted on our first trip to Genova and it had stuck in my mind.

Lovely cases inside full of a large selection of different drinks. I tried a Genovese vermouth, which had a wonderful sort of deep caramelised orange character to it, and I thought would be excellent in a Negroni.

 I bought a bottle of the Genovese vermouth (Bagascio) to take back with me.
